Planning Events In NYC? You Should Join ISES

If you’re in the event planning industry in New York, you should be a member of the International Special Events Society (#ISESNYC). I’m one of those people who has been an on-again, off-again member of various event planner groups over the years. But this year I decided to make a commitment and I’m glad I did. I’ve found some other event planner groups cliquey, but ISES NYC is different. The people are very friendly, helpful to one another and encouraging of each other’s businesses. We also happen to have really fun events, like last month’s event sponsored by Sak’s Fifth Avenue. If you’re in any way connected to the events business in New York — a corporate or independent event planner, a venue, or a student studying for a hospitality management degree — you should check out ISES NYC. Our next event is Nov. 7 at the Snapple Theatre on Broadway. You’ll hear Tony Awards Gala planner Chrissann Gasparro share insights on how to promote events through social media.
