Student activities planners often ask us what type of events are most popular to being Maui Wowi to campus. It’s a tough question because there are so many ways to use Maui Wowi. Here are a few:
- Spring Fling/Carnival/Concert: The big spring blowout event is our specialty. We can set up anywhere — in the middle of a field with a generator, for example. Our tiki bar is a visual magnet for students to find us among other attractions. We serve a variety of fresh made smoothies and, new this year, Hawaiian Shave Ice.
- Siblings/Family Week: Maui Wowi is a great addition to family events on campus. Little siblings of students will love our smoothies.
- Relaxation/Spa Day: An espresso/hot cocoa bar or a smoothie bar goes really well with a spa day or a relaxation day during exam week.
- Blood Drive/Charity Fundraiser: Want to get a lot more people to open their veins for you? Offer them a Maui Wowi smoothie instead of a boring cup of OJ after they give blood.
- Orientation: Back to campus events in August/September and start of term events in January are a prime time to have Maui Wowi to campus as students get to know their way around.
- Club Fair: Want students to join clubs? Give them an incentive to come – free Maui Wowi smoothies, hot cocoas or espresso drinks.
- Luau: We have a Hawaiian theme, so yeah, we do luaus! But not just luaus. In fact, it’s a popular misconception that we have to set up our tiki bar to serve. We’ll adapt to any design or theme you’ve got.
- Admissions Open House: Want to give prospective students a warm fuzzy? Maui Wowi!
- Senior Week Celebration: They made it to the finish line – give ’em a smoothie (or even one with rum if campus policy and law allow).
- Open Mic Night: perfect for espresso and cocoa.
- Summer in Winter: We can pretend it’s summer with a tiki bar and smoothies!
- Health/Wellness Fair: Our smoothies are all natural and 100% good for you. It fits a health/wellness theme and draws more people.
- Study Week: Our smoothies and coffees give an energy boost for the last mile of studying.
- Late Night/After Dark Event: We don’t care how dark. It can be 3AM dark. We’ll do it!
