Maui Wowi exhibited yesterday at the New York Event Planner Expo sponsored by EMRG Media. A big crowd showed up for the event, which featured food from some of New York’s leadering caterers and restaurants, Maui Wowi smoothies of course, and a jazzband that we had the good fortune to have adjacent to us — the 747 Orchestra. Our late-night tour of Massachusetts continued last night at #AmherstCollege where we wore out our smoothie pouring arms til well after midnight. Amherst’s Welcome Back Bash went off Hawaiian-style with leis, tiki lights and of hundreds upon hundreds of Maui Wowi smoothies.

Maui Wowi hit the road this weekend for a three-college New England tour. First stop University of Connecticut for a late night event. Then smoothie masters Mark and Nathan (see their photo below) drove through the wee hours to Massachusetts (don’t wake them – they are still sleeping), where tonight they’ll be at Amherst College (for another late night). And after that they’ll be a Fisher College in the Boston on Monday — in the morning!

New Jersey Institute of Technology (#NJIT) had a Greek life event last week to get everyone interested in what fraternities and sororities have to offer on campus. How to get students to visit the quad and talk to members of different groups at 20+ tables — that was the challenge. The campus programmers came up with a fun theme – luau – and had Hawaiian decorations to create a fun atmosphere. They printed “passports” — cards that students had to get stamped at at least four tables.
