Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, Pa., had an Alcohol and Drug Awareness event today and brought in Maui Wowi to make smoothies and draw a crowd. And it worked! We met hundreds of students over the four hours, who all stopped at the adjacent table to try on “beer goggles” to simulate drunk driving, play some games that helped them learn something they may not have already known about drugs, and generally get smarter. They were a great bunch of students — many of them studying nursing and other health care professions — and they took away a great message from this event. Kudos to the student activities and wellness staff (that’s you, Nicole!) for making a difference. Here are some photos of the fun.
