We’re often asked, “Do you rent Slushie machines for parties?”  Our answer is: “Would you rather serve a Seven-11 type drink to your guests, filled with corn syrup and artificial colors and sweeteners, or an all-natural, non-fat, fresh-blended Maui Wowi smoothie?

Serving slushies is very different from having a Maui Wowi smoothie bar at your catered event. A slushie machine (also called a granita machine) requires you to prepare a sticky mix and wait until it ices. Granita machines are a mess. They get clogged and are often pretty dinged up by the time you rent one. You’re also limited to one flavor per machine (sometimes two).

 A Maui Wowi smoothie bar, on the other hand, is a catered service in which you need to do absolutely nothing. We do it all. We set up a portable bar, and our servers blend smoothies in a variety of flavors of your choice. Our pricing is competitive with slushie machine rentals.

 Our feeling is that when you’re hosting a party or event, you’ve got enough other things to think about without needing to worry about your frozen drinks. All we need is access to electric (and if that’s not possible we’ll bring a generator). You do nothing else.

 That’s why smart hosts prefer Maui Wowi smoothies for their graduation parties, Sweet 16s, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and all other events.
